I didn't think there was quite enough wind when I first got to the beach and nearly didn't bother, but at the last minute thought I might as well get wet and give it a go. I'm glad I did as the wind soon filled in again and I had a good session well-powered on the 5.7m. At times I was pretty maxed out, but on almost every run I'd be underpowered in one area where the current was really strong and in the same direction as the wind. Typically, this low-power zone was right in the middle of the white-water which resulted in some 'interesting' moments and one or two swims. Otherwise I was well-powered and blasting around the rough waters. Coming back in the 'low-power' zone would actually be a zone where I was totally maxed out and able to fly upwind.

Chris was out kiting, and Jonny was on the beach watching after having been out in the estuary.
